Feet....

1. Take off your shoes as much as possible. In Asia it is so rude to wear your shoes indoors, you end up tracking in all the dirt and scum from the outside into your house -- no wonder we need chairs.

2. Move your feet even when you are sitting. Rotate them in circles. Flex and point them. Spread your toes and try to pick up things with them.

3. Massage them or have them massaged.

4. As much as possible, sit cross-legged or in any position where they are not hanging below your hips.

Your feet are your roots. They connect you to the earth and allow you to feel so much. Ishi, a Native American Indian, said that when he wore shoes, he was lost. Maybe we are all a little lost from putting our feet in the closet.
